In this illustration, I wanted to capture the true warmth and empowering energy of the mother who protects and guides her children through the night. The flowers on her head are white lilies that represent the female energy, intuition and the moon itself. January’s full moon is called the Wolf Moon. It’s believed that the etymology of this name comes from the howling of the wolves that would have been heard echoed during the cold winters months.
